1950's Becoming Widely Recognized as Synonymous with the Finest Sound Quality

In addition to commencing the sales of Japan’s first LP records and stereo records, Denon introduced the world’s first stereo moving-coil phono cartridge in 1951. This sophisticated product was merely a foretaste of what was to come, as it actually preceded the commercial debut of stereo seven years later. Continuing its prowess within the professional broadcasting industry, Denon also developed the profession-use tape recorder in 1953 and commenced production of open-reel audio tapes in 1959.
